SFU's English Language and Culture (ELC) Program

SFU English Language and Culture (ELC) Program

The English Language and Culture (ELC) Program is an intensely interactive learning experience in a university setting.

Since 1995, Simon Fraser University ELC has assisted students in achieving their academic and business goals. Students will improve the analytical skills needed for academic success and the communication skills required for business success while developing an understanding of Canadian and North American culture.

The ELC program emphasizes the importance of improving English skills and understanding the culture in which a language is used. Students will be able to continue to learn independently outside of the classroom, and gain the confidence to use English in any setting.
