Nick Lewis | student

class of 2011

Nick was born in New Delhi, grew up in the Middle East and went to high school in Toronto. A pop culture sponge, he used his BA in Film from the University of Western Ontario and his BAA in Journalism from Ryerson University to become a pop culture writer for The Calgary Herald in 2000. There, he reviewed video games, concerts, CDs and theatre, interviewed celebrities, wrote a weekly column about digital culture, and reported on news and technology features that ran in 13 daily newspapers across Canada. Nick also freelanced as on-air talent for four seasons of Whatever Happened To?, a pop culture TV show with international reach, while also freelancing print travel stories. Having owned almost every console since the Atari 2600 (sigh, even the Turbografx-16 and Atari Lynx), he thinks a career in the gaming industry is long overdue.
