Since graduating from the Fine and Performing Arts program at Simon Fraser University, Ian has been highly active in Vancouver’s arts community working as an actor, singer, writer, director, improviser, administrator and instructor, having worked with all of the cities’ major theatre companies as well as with a diverse range of artists on numerous interdisciplinary projects. Ian has worked extensively throughout Canada and the United States; in film and television and was invited to perform with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa. He sees the Masters of Digital Media program as a singular and challenging opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills; to meet, collaborate and learn from others; and to weave together a number of long-held divergent interests with the ultimate goal of playing a meaningful role in the emerging art form of Digital Media; enabling him to make a significant contribution to this burgeoning industry.
