Big Hadron Games - Tide Pool Defender

Another one week cycle complete. It's getting a little crazy how good we're getting at this. Not that the games we've created couldn't be made even better by a couple weeks of polish and iterative design. But for what we're doing in a short amount of time we've been given, I'm pretty impressed.  : )

This week, I teamed up with Matt Jenkins and Michelle Parent. We were aiming for a simuation or a strategy game that takes place in a tide pool (like the ones that you can see at Botanical Beach, on the west coast of Vancouver Island). Then we progressed into a design that was a little more tower defense-ish in style, which ended up getting slightly scaled back until we achieved: Tide Pool Defender (link to game forthcoming).

It was a good week. We worked hard, and worked well, I think, and made a cool game. This development cycle marks the final 'new game' cycle of the semester. From here on in, we'll be polishing and improving some (all?) of our games. Keep an eye on the blog for future improvements!
