Since last week was spring break and because this past week as been full of so many activities and visits at the Centre for Digital Media (CDM), the Big Hadron games (BHg) team decided not to produce brand new games this week. Instead, we spent the week delivering some much-needed polish to our existing catalogue of games. Much of this was done in anticipation of the Student Showcase that the CDM hosted last night. In attendance were well over one hundred individuals from a variety of companies and fields in the digital media industry in Vancouver. If you take a look on the BHg website you may notice a few improvements to some of the games.
Next week we're going to jump into our final cycle of development. After that, we'll go into full polish mode for the balance of the semester (although with fewer hands on deck for one week, since Stephen Danic and Michelle Parent will be attending the GDC in San Francisco). The plan is to go forward with another one-week cycle next week, with two teams of three, rather than the traditional three teams of two. We tried out the 'one-week, two team' model two weeks ago and had great success, producing Star Catcher and Space Glob.
Check back next week to see the results!
