Tarek and I developed the game 'Political Catastrophe' during this last 2-week cycle (although 'catastrophe' is perhaps somwhat of a misnomer - I mostly just thought it sounded kinda cool). That's a 2-week cycle less the 48+ hours that were spent working on the Global Game Jam, mind you.
This time around, we spent more time on playtesting, which was great, but we still need to do more, I think. The real trick is to get the game complete in a week, and then spend the next week in daily playtesting sessions, tuning and improving. We did quite a bit of playtesting last Friday, then implemented the feedback on Monday, but we ended up adding more features on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Here's a link to Political Catastrophe on the Big Hadron games site. You can also check out all our other games we developed (including the three made during the Global Game Jam - which were not developed exclusively by BHg members). If you have any comments, please feel free to post comments here or on the Big Hadron games site.
